Samantha Haley is from Milton, GA and graduated with an English degree from Harvard in 2012, where she was recruited for tennis. She received her MD from Vanderbilt in 2017 along with a Certificate in LGBT Health. There she was selected for Alpha Omega Alpha, Gold Humanism Honor Society, the Canby Robinson Society Award (by peer vote to “the person fellow classmates would most like to have as their personal physician”), and the Founder’s Medal (highest honor given annually to one graduating student). She completed her Pediatrics residency at University of Washington / Seattle Children’s in 2020 and received the James Owens Sr. MD Award for Excellence in Adolescent Health and Medicine. She loves forming bonds with new parents, meeting their babies, and developing long-term relationships with children and families over time. Additional clinical interests include adolescent health, transgender health, and medically complex children. She and her husband welcomed their first baby in 2020. In her spare time, she enjoys playing tennis on multiple teams, legislative advocacy on behalf of children’s health, and playing with her son and daughter.
