The physicians at Woodinville Pediatrics and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) believe that a federal advisory group’s decision to weaken hepatitis B vaccine recommendations for newborns is dangerous and can put children at risk. We strongly recommend that all babies get a first dose of hepatitis B vaccine within 24 hours of birth as part of routine care.
